Site Investigation Engineer
A unique role for an Engineer with a keen interest in buildings, site investigation, field work and assessment of existing structures.
The role
We are working with a privately owned market leader in structural and geophysical site investigation. An engineering specialist offering bespoke building remediation investigation, testing and consultancy services on historical and modern buildings across the UK and internationally.
We’re looking for Graduate Engineer or Technician to join a team helping to investigate structures, protect buildings and preserve monuments throughout their life cycle.
As Site Investigation Engineer, you will learn how to test, inspect and assess structures using specialist site investigation equipment. Working predominantly on site, you will set up and use specialist equipment to run non-destructive and invasive tests, assessing material quality and structural condition.
You will also be involved in sampling for repair work, note-taking, CAD and data collection.
You will be joining an engineering team of Project Managers, Engineers and Surveyors based in Cambridge and work on site on projects across East Anglia and London which currently including castles, museums, hospitals, tunnels and wind turbines.
The role offers an excellent career in site investigation for a local Graduate or Technician with a relevant engineering or surveying background.
Learn and develop site inspection, survey and measurement skills. Using testing equipment on site, collecting data and material sampling. You'll enjoy working outside and being on site, with a practical approach and keen interest in buildings.

To apply
You'll need a full UK driving licence, UK residency and full right to work. Degree or HND in civil engineering or related building subject. You must be willing to travel to projects across London and East Anglia, typically site based 4 days a week, depending on project needs. Salary £25-30k + team bonus and site allowance
